Orders on this website will be processed by The Canny Company Ltd in the UK. Australian orders will be processed and despatched from our Melbourne warehouse.
Your statutory rights are not affected by any of the following terms and conditions. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any such changes will take effect when posted on this website (see date at top) and it is your responsibility to read the terms and conditions on each occasion you use this website. Your continued use of the website shall signify your acceptance to be bound by the latest terms and conditions.
As part of our service, we agree to provide you with information and other services that we may decide to offer, subject to the terms of this agreement. Upon notice published through the service, we may modify this agreement at any time. You agree and continue to agree to use our services in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations and in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the policies and guidelines outlined below. Please note that you will be referred to as 'customer' in this agreement.
By using the service, you agree that you will not attempt to undermine the integrity of this website.
The 'review' stage sets out the final details of your order. Following this, we will send you an order acknowledgement email detailing the products you have ordered. Please note that this email is not an order confirmation or order acceptance by The Canny Company Ltd.
Acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on despatch to you of any products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it.
Delivery charges are specified when you place an order. All orders received after our 1pm Friday 'cut off time' and over a weekend will be despatched at the first available opportunity which will be the following Monday.
We make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated timescales, however delays are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen factors. The Canny Company Ltd shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the products within estimated timescales.
Risk of loss and damage of products passes to you on the date when the products are delivered or on the date of first attempted delivery by us.
Orders placed within mainland UK will be despatched using our Xpress 2-day (2CXN) tracked service offered by Yodel. Highlands & Islands, Channel Isles, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland will be offered either the Xpress 2-day (2CXN) tracked service or a cheaper, untracked alternative provided by Whistl.
Orders placed outside of the UK will be despatched using either our Norsk (tracked) service or a Whistl (untracked) service. Delivery times will vary between 3-4 working days and 7-10 working days.
US customers should note that for ‘trade’ orders (for example, bulk shipping to pet stores etc), duty may be charged on imported goods and the customer, as the importer, is ultimately responsible for paying any duty owed on an import. The purchase price does not include duty as we cannot say with absolute certainty what the duty will be. As a rule, a purchase price that includes shipping and handling does not include duty or any costs associated with clearing the goods through US Customs and Border Protection.
Orders in Australia will be sent from our Melbourne facility by either Australia Post or Australia Post Express. No customs duty will be payable.
All orders are automatically processed on our secure merchant processor and sent for shipment as soon as they are placed. During this timeframe we incur irreversible fees. Therefore, while we understand that orders might need to be changed sometimes, we are unable to do it free of charge on most occasions.
Cancellations are treated as a Return with all applicable fees. Your order will be treated as automatically cancelled if a simultaneous payment notification is not received by us in the case of payment by credit card or Paypal. In the case of payment using Paypal cheques, the order will be automatically cancelled if the funds do not reach our account within one month of the order date.
If goods you order from us are faulty, damaged or unsuitable, please notify us within 48 hours of receipt and return them within 14 days. Provided they are in a new and fit for resale condition in their original packaging, we will happily offer an exchange or refund. Items to be exchanged may be subject to a restocking fee. Items must be in unused condition, clean, and free of pet hair/smell, with the original tag. Items requiring cleaning or removal of pet hair will be charged a £3/4€/$5 cleaning fee per item.
Shipping charges for all exchanges are the responsibility of the customer. Additional charges may apply if replacement items are priced higher than the original. For Canny Collars, please ensure you have ordered the correct size before use (see the page 'Choosing the Right Size ') as the customer will be responsible for meeting the postage costs of any returns for an exchange of sizes. We will not be able to accept returns that are not fit for resale.
So that we can process your return more quickly, please enclose a printout of your e-mail receipt. Return the goods to us using this form and please write 'returned item' on the package. If you have any queries regarding returns or refunds, please contact us using the details below.
We will replace, free of charge, any products found to have manufacturing defects. This guarantee/warranty expires 30 days after the product is sold to the customer. No other stated or implied guarantee/warranty exists or is applicable. The following are not covered under the guarantee/warranty: damage by chewing, contact with sharp object, contact with rough surface, abuse, negligence, or other similar circumstances.
The guarantee/warranty refers solely to any fault arising with the collar due to an identifiable manufacturing defect. In this case, the defective collar will be replaced with an equivalent product once returned to us.
You acknowledge and agree that all copyright, patents, trademarks and all other intellectual property rights in all materials and/or content made available as part of your use of this website shall remain at all times vested in us or our licensors. You are permitted to use this material only as expressly authorised by us or our licensors.
You acknowledge and agree that the material and content contained within this website is made available for your personal non-commercial use only and that you may only download such material and content for the purpose of using this website. It is clearly not in our interests to irritate you with irrelevant e-mail communication, so be assured that we will limit the volume of e-mail traffic you receive from us. We will not make your e-mail address details known to any third party.

The contract between The Canny Company Ltd and you the customer shall be governed by the laws of England and any dispute between both parties will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England. English is the only language offered for the conclusion of the contract.
